Marketing to Women on Facebook - It's more than creating a Fan page!

I just read (I know I'm a little late) this great article on Mashable about marketing to women on Facebook. What I love about the article is it's simplicity and truth.

My favorite tip is # 2: Create an Emotional Connection. Emotional trumps functional every time. Every great brand knows that if you can connect with the consumer on the emotional level, you've given that person a reason to actually care about your brand. They'll start to identify the ways your brand fits into their life and believe all the reasons why they can't won't live without it!

Top Ten Most Creative Women in Business

I love Fast Company Magazine especially when they have great features about women in business. That's why I wanted to profile this feature. I can only give this 4 LBDs out of 5 because of their failure to include at least one woman of color in their Top Ten.

For instance, Jane Arunga who hits the Top 100 List  at  number 58, is an equity partner in Black Star Lines  and is modernizing the marketplace for countries in Africa. That certainly seems worthy of a Top Ten mention...particularly because she is under 30!

And although I don't know the selection criteria for inclusion on the Top 100 list, I personally enjoy following the career of Amway CMO, Candace Sheffield Matthews . She is one of my career icons and always enjoy reading features about Ms. Matthews.

But there is definitely no love lost between Fast Company Magazine and my loyal readership! Great feature! Hope to be on it one day!!!
